DOLE DO198-18 requires all establishments, regardless of risk category and number of workers, to have at the least 1 trained and Certified First Aider who has undergone First Aid Training. This was further strengthened by DOLE DO 235-22.
Your designated first aider must be certified by undergoing this training - in compliance with the First Aider Occupational Health Personnel requirement of the Department of Labor and Employment under Section 6.1, Rule 1, Book 4, Occupational Safety and Health Standards (Oshs) of the Philippines, and DOLE DO198-18.

- All companies must designate their Company First Aiders
- WHO must attend this/the 2 days Occupational First Aid Training?
For low risk level establishment employing or having 10 to 50 workers
- WHO must attend the 4 days Standard First Aid Training?
1) medium to high risk level establishments employing 10 to 50 workers, and 2) low to high risk level establishments employing 51 workers and above.
Outline
Learners who successfully complete this Occupational First Aid Training course will:
- Understand the responsibilities of the occupational first aider
- Provide treatment for the purpose of preserving life or minimizing the consequences of injury until discharge or the arrival of medical assistance.
- Provide treatment in the workplace for an injury which does not require the attention of a medical practitioner or nurse.
- Be capable of coordinating first aid arrangements in the workplace.
- Be familiar with health and safety legislation on first aid provision in the workplace.
