The course which is included in the program, “Business Beyond Balance Sheet: Strategic Management for Accountants in a Digital Environment.” Module Two: Assessing the New Normal - The VUCA Environment, is the second installment of the program, Business Beyond Balance Sheet. Divided into modules, this second module is subdivided into three parts. The first part deals with Personal Elements in Decision Making, with subtopics as 11 biases in Decision Making, wherein the participant will gain an understanding how different organizations exhibit some of theses biases which may hinder the organizations growth. It also tackles Logical Incrementalism, and Emergent Strategy and Strategic Drift. The second part deals with Strategic Positioning. This part will show the participant the importance of Strategic Alliance in gaining optimum advantage in pursuing common objectives. Topics include Relative Position as Client’s most valued supplier of services, The 4 C’s in Strategic Alliance and Principle of Least Interest. The third and last part is the Changing Customer Behavior. Because of the prevalence of the digital age in the new normal, the bargaining power of buyers has increased exponentially and business have to be resilient and adapt to the Volatile, Uncertain, Chaotic and Ambiguous (VUCA) business environment.
