Bearing installation and Maintenance

Topics include: rolling bearing basics, mounting and dismounting, shaft and housing fits, bearing care, fundamentals of lubrication and an overview of applications for various types of bearings and industries.

Attendees learn the fundamentals of rolling bearing technology, bearing selection and loading, nomenclature, lubrication and measuring and fitting procedures for shafts and housings. They also gain a basic understanding of why bearings fail. Attendees are encouraged to bring with them specific bearing failure problems they've experienced at their facilities. Engr. Leonardo Dayon, who gained training and experience from SKF Philippines for seven (7) years as an application engineer, will explain how to identify and interpret the cause of the bearing failures so that users can prevent them from happening again. Engr. Dayon has experience in vibration analysis, laser alignment, and bearing maintenance since 1990. His experience in the field of electrical engineering, particularly, motors and is its drive system started in 1982 to the present.
