Adobe Premiere Editing Course
Details
Exercises include editing a commercial, a scene in a narrative fiction, and placing and animating titles and graphics. A music video will be planned, shot and individually edited by the students as a final exercise.
At the end of the course, students learn:
- The function of each of Premiere’s panels and be able to assemble a video presentation
- How to import and identify various file types and formats for use in assembling a movie
- Premiere’s Project window to organize imported files
- To apply transitions between clips and choose the correct transition to use
- The basic editing process of file ingestion, clip selection, trimming and editing
- To customize Premiere’s preferences and interface to fit your needs
- Produce an editing showreel
- Mac or Windows computer that meets the Adobe Premiere recommended system requirements.
- Hard drive with at least 100gig disc space.

Speaker/s
A graduate of the UP Film Institute, EJ has directed award winning documentary films tackling issues of environment and society. He has further studied advanced documentary filmmaking under German, French and Dutch filmmakers in various workshops and specialized courses organized by Goethe Institute-Manila and Goethe Institut-Hanoi. EJ also directs commercials, advertisements and corporate image films.
EJ has filmed hundreds of weddings when he became an owner of a wedding film studio in 2010-2012. This was when he dreamed of a Videography School that offers special courses for budding artists.
Dennis Abad
After taking up German at UP Diliman, Dennis has successfully reinvented himself from an engineering sales and financial corporate past and is now a full-time documentary filmmaker, professional photographer, and a corporate image film producer. He leverages his
skills as a linguist by regularly working with European clients in the Philippines. His advocacy revolves around environment, energy, social enterprise, land-use, and sustainability. His roles as a director, cinematographer, editor, and producer are put to
great use now that he is an educator as well.
