A 2-day hands-on course teaching the craft of color grading to beginners. Utilizing a workshop atmosphere in combination with lectures, demonstrations and projects, students will take their first steps toward a technical understanding of the art and
craft of color correction and grading for digital video.
This covers the digital color grading workflow from initial setup and color theory to color grading within Adobe Premiere Pro. Students learn the tools and nuances of color matching and how to take projects to the next level with graded looks.
Students learn how to:
- Know the fundamentals of color correction
- Learn the principles and theories of color.
- Master the techniques and tools of color grading.
- Be familiar with the tools for creative color corrections and color grading
What to bring:
- Laptop with editing software
- optional: if you have clips from your past wedding or events work

After taking up Communcation Arts at DLSU, Heintje Fernandez went into photography in 1993. Since then he forayed into the digital arts spanning a career of 15 years, as a video editor doing TV ads, documentaries and AVPS.
Some of his notable involvement include the indie film, Imelda and was also commissioned to edit ABS-CBN’s 50 years anniversary. He has also done work for the History Channel doing documentaries about the late Ninoy Aquino and Ferdinand Marcos.
He set his sights on honing his craft with his focus on color grading. As an editor and cinematographer, setting the right mood to achieve the harmony and balance of the tone of the film, to produce the desired final effect is his prime objective. His passion for teaching and his craft is what makes work not work. Presently he is the creative director of Green Tomato Productions.
