Details

This is a two-day certification program offered to nurses and other allied health care providers and professionals, who, directly or indirectly deal with the general concepts involving ELECTROCARDIOGRAPHY (ECG) in order to help and prepare them in their pursuit of working in a Telemetry Unit, ICU or CCU.

The Advanced ECG: Premature Beats and Heartblocks certification program provides students with details on CG fundamentals, including but not limited to cardiac anatomy and physiology and the other different components of an ECG complex.

Taking off from the preparatory course - Basic ECG Interpretation, students are provided with simplified techniques that will enable them to easily recognize and interpret the varying types of dysrhythmias - these are the defining characteristics and psychologic mechanisms of ECG algorithms. A brief discussion on the use of artificial pacemakers is included to enable the students to know management limitations or restrictions for patients with pacemakers.
