I am chess advocate in college being one of the founder of Animo Ahedres Chess Club in De La Salle Lipa. During my term as a chess varsity, our team contributed to the success of the DLSL in sports meets like National Collegiate Atheletic Association (NCAA) -South and Private Schools Athletic Association. I represented the school in various competion in the provincial, regional and national level. During my varsity years, I regularly competed on Shell National Youth Active Chess Championship, PSC National Chess Championship and Metropolitan Chess Club Weekly tournament.
