Details
The course is designed to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes of a caregiver in accordance with industry standards. It consists of competencies that a person must achieve to provide care and support to infants/toddlers, provide care and support to children, foster social, intellectual, creative and emotional development of children, foster the physical development of children, provide care and support to elderly, provide care and support to people with special needs, maintain healthy and safe environment, respond to emergency, clean living room, dining room, bedrooms, toilet and bathroom, wash and iron clothes, linen, fabric, prepare hot and cold meals.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Trainees or students wishing to enroll in this course qualification should possess the following requirements:
- can communicate both in oral and written form;
- physically and mentally fit;
- with good moral character; and
- can perform basic mathematical computation.

Founded in 1913, the college was first established as a Nurses Training School, to complement Mary Chiles Hospital which was founded in 1911. It is one of the oldest nursing schools in the Philippines. Later, the college expanded its course offerings to include License in Midwifery. It became the first school to offer License in Respiratory Therapy in 1980. In 2011, its Respiratory Therapy course was upgraded to a 4-year B.S. course, and in 2013 it became one of the first 3 schools to offer a 4-year B.S. Midwifery program. The college also offers TESDA courses in Caregiving, Massage Therapy and Computer Systems Servicing.
