The Institute of Infrared Thermography (IRT) education offers more! We at IRT understand your needs. We know you are busy today and with the pressure on business to operate lean and optimize the maintenance program, we offer this 2-part certification program. Become certified initially with the 1-day Operator Certification Training and then later complete the L1 Certification Course.
Course Agenda
The course is divided into modules each with an exercise or discussion component. Each module builds on the previous one so that learning is accomplished in an organized and structured format – from camera operations with its accessories, maximizing its useful features and functions by capturing quality IR images and transferring it to your software for report generation!
Operator Certification
4 Modules covering 1 day of instruction, workshops and tutorials. A written test and practical camera test will be administered, after which an IRT Operator Certification Certificate will be granted. It is a lifetime certification!
Who Attends Our Courses?Class size is limited to give maximum interaction between instructor and students. Any personnel interested in using Infrared Camera! The course is designed to provide a sound understanding of infrared condition monitoring inspections to identify process, electrical and machine conditions for greater system safety, reliability and improvement; including maintenance managers, electrical and mechanical engineers and maintenance personnel, PdM personnel, reliability engineers, process and manufacturing department personnel.

Do You Own an IR Camera?
Do you own an IR Camera? Then bring it to the course as it is best to learn on your brand and model of IR Camera. If you do not own a Camera....don’t buy one until after the course! When you have completed the course you will know exactly what you need in a camera. We make sure you but the right camera for your applications.
On-Site Training Available
IRT offers an onsite course basis. All courses can be presented at your facility at your convenience. An onsite presentation is economical for Certification Courses when 6-8 people want the course and a great value if you have more than 10 who are interested. Outline
• An experienced trainer with a minimum of 10 years experience in this industry.
• Operational instruction of infrared cameras that will enable personnel to image any required objects.
• An understanding of the 5 main components of an infrared camera and how they interact
• An understanding of emittance and reflectance issies and how they are dealt with.
• Procedure for proper start-up, function and operation of an infrared camera system.
• Instruction and practices in performing temperature measurements.
• An understanding of theories required evaluating and analysis of thermal image.
• Method to recall and download images from storage for further analysis.
• Guidline to execute a complete and accurate infrared inspection
• An overview of specific applications as designated by the client.
Speaker/s
The Institute of Infrared Thermography (IRT) is the training division of the group of companies headed by the principle Mr. Ron Newport. The principle company, Global Condition Monitoring INC., provides training and education in Predictive Maintenance techniques as well as inspections and consulting services. His first company, Infraview Energy Analysis, was a successful IR inspection company that was started in 1977 at a time when thermography was virtually unknown for industrial applications. Ron has enjoyed a 35+ year career in Infrared Thermography and Predictive Maintenance. Today, he still performs inspections and training with partners around the world.
