This class teaches the fundamentals of developing an Enterprise Application System using Java EE with database engines, open-source frameworks, and embedded systems. It includes the discussion of theories and underlying knowledge on the storage and processing
of big data sets as well as the design of databases and deployment of embedded systems. This course will focus on the implementations of enterprise systems that run on servers with clients running on mobile devices.
Outline
At the end of this class, the student should be able to:
• understand and implement an enterprise system application with a database backend
• perform database design and development
• implement MVC through Java EE
• integrate with different frameworks and libraries such as Hadoop, Oracle Java Embedded, and Android
