Number of Days

Prerequisites& Supplements
Significant leadership exposure and/or managerial experience serve as the soft prerequisite since discussions and activities revolve on leadership excellence and personal effectiveness scenarios in a diversified 21st century setting. This includes behavioral discussions and leadership evaluation to fortify one’s conditioning, mindset, professionalism, and influence as a true public servant and transformational leader.

Sheila Viesca, PhD is a Personal Effectiveness Coach and Corporate Communications Guru. She is the founder and owner of TalkShop and currently operates as its Chief Executive Officer. TalkShop is the choice consultancy of international organizations and top 1000 firms in the Philippines, boasting of a roster of high caliber coaches and language trainers from different parts of the world, and is an internationally affiliated, Civil-Service accredited, and ISO-certified training firm owned solely by a Filipino.

Viesca launched TalkShop in 2000 as a requirement of her Masters in Entrepreneurship at the Asian Institute of Management. She then completed her Advanced Teaching certification in Toronto, Canada and from then on, has worked hand-in-hand with the Department of Education as the lead designer and trainer of national English programs that promote Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) in the Philippines and help advance the proficiency of educators and non teaching personnel. She designed the Comprehensive Language Competency Benchmark of the Department of Education (DepEd), used as an official guideline for the standard competency requirements of all DepEd personnel.

As she took her Doctorate in Applied Anthropology from the Asian Social Institute, she pioneered Integrated Language Teaching (ILT) in workshop designs, a teaching method that capitalizes on the fusion of the teaching methodologies of the West with the learning styles of the East. TalkShop programs have since grown immensely to address the training needs of students, executives, coaches, and educators who aim to acquire comprehensive training in communication, leadership, management, salesmanship, strategic planning, and personality development.

Viesca published her journals in Communication Excellence for ESL Learners and TESOL Teachers in 2004 and has trained over a hundred thousand participants on an individual coaching and classroom setting. In 2006, Viesca published Quintessence of Creative Writing in textbook and audiobook versions. She continues to advance human potentials through her style of designing and conducting workshops that has made it possible for authors to excel in public speaking and for speakers to thrive in writing. She is recognized as the country’s TESL Specialist and a Personality Development Expert.

In 2007, acknowledging the absence of depth in a number of soft skills training that the corporate market sorely needed, Sheila applied arts to her linguistic courses, placed emphasis on sensibility and mindfulness in her etiquette training, and personality development programs, and incorporated personality profiling using the Enneagram and Jungian Archetypes to her programs in leadership training and management communication. These efforts have placed TalkShop as a top choice when it comes to customization of programs that help corporations define their mission-vision and uphold their core values as they develop individuals into becoming valuable team players and effective leaders who have a clear vision of how best they can contribute to the workplace and society.

She works closely in the capacity building and job preparation of the youth sector through the local government units and corporate foundations which sponsor scholars from different parts of the Philippines. In 2010, she was tapped by the Rotary Club of Makati Poblacion to spearhead the National Capital Region (NCR) Quiz Bee Competition Challenge, participated in by the majority of the public and private high schools from the 16 cities within the Metro Manila area. This metro-wide venture, along with the monthly newsletter she published to fortify the public information awareness, also intended to boost the national candidacy of then Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay who was a far third at the start of the election campaign. The 8-month intercity competitions and collaboration with the youth leaders, teachers, and school division heads resulted in greatly influencing the results of the 2010 election in favor of Binay who won the Vice Presidency by a significant margin.

She continues to train TalkShop’s coaches as the company expands to cater to the requirements of various government institutions, private and state universities, international publishing firms like Financial Times, and various agencies of the United Nations, and NGO’s in the field of Corporate Communication, Cross-Culture Awareness, Personality Development, Social Graces, International Etiquette, Salesmanship, Branding Strategies, Marketing, Strategic Planning, Leadership, and Management.

She is currently the exclusive Foreign Service Trainer of the Department of Tourism who designs and conducts the 7-day module to prepare the Tourism Attaches and Officers for international posting.

To this day, Sheila is a firm believer in the unlimited potential of any person who has the desire to invest time and effort in both formal training and informal education. She devotes much of her time to designing and conducting programs that take individuals and corporations on a journey to continuous self-mastery.
