Course Description:

The 30-hour General Industry course is intended to provide a variety of training to workers with some safety responsibility. Training should emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not OSHA standards.

-Introduction to OSHA or Local Governmental Agencies-Safety and Health Supervision, Management and Leadership-Walking and Working Surfaces, including fall protection-Emergency Action Plan, Fire Prevention Plan, Fire Protection-Electrical Safety including Lockout/Tagout-Personal Protective Equipment-Fall Protection-Ergonomics-Health hazards – Industrial Hygiene-Machine Guarding-Bloodborne Pathogens-Fleet Safety Management-Hazardous Materials-Welding, Cutting, and Brazing-Workplace Violence Prevention-Permit-Required Confined Spaces-Other general industry safety topics as needed
