International Training Workshop on Qualitative Research: From Start to Finish

GROW Professional Development and Training Center, Inc.(GROW)is a registered professional training center from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)currently located atSto. Niño Annex Building, Doña Juliana Street, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental. The center which is in partnership with the Asian Qualitative Research Association (AQRA)based in Advanced International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS), Silang, Cavitewill be holding its second “INTERNATIONAL TRAINING WORKSHOP ON QUALITATIVE RESEARCH: FROM START TO FINISH” to be conducted on March 11, 12, and 13, 2019from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Circle Inn Hotel – Iloilo City Center, Iznart Street Extension, Brgy. Maria Clara, Iloilo City. The goals of the said training workshop is to: (1) learn qualitative research from definition to reporting; (2) develop and present a proposal; (3) experiment with data collection and analysis; and (4) get inspired in doing more research. This will be delivered by a scholar and expert in qualitative research, DR. PREMA GAIKWAD. The expected participants are school administrators, teachers, staff, students, and professionals from the different basic and higher education institutionsin the Philippines both private and public and other industries in the country.
The training covers the following topics: (a) fundamentals of qualitative research; (b) designing a qualitative research (QLR) study; (c) becoming a qualitative researcher; (d) overview of qualitative research designs; (e) data collection; (f) preparing and presenting a qualitative research proposal; (g) quality and ethical considerations; (h) data analysis; and (i) writing a qualitative research report.
Therefore, at the end of the training, the participants are expected to come up with a proposal which is ready for implementation. Also, all the participants will have the chance to prepare an abstract to be submitted to any conferences here and abroad. This will be a big opportunity for the participants to experience research which is hands-on especially those who are advising candidates for thesis and dissertation writing, those enrolling in the graduate school programs, and those who are teaching Practical Research in the Senior High School.
