THIS SUMMER, WE MAKE IT FUN TO WRITE BETTER!
Tailored for kids who need to improve their writing, we use fun creative writing activities to teach important writing skills, from expository to analytical writing.
Age range: 9 to 12 years old

Writing goals:
Informative writing
Descriptive writing
Narrative writing
Critical/Analytical writing
Persuasive writing
We will be working on pre-writing techniques, organization and construction of sentences, and grammar.
Fee: Php4800
Instructor bio:
Maloy Luakian has worked as an editor and writer for over 17 years, including a stint as Editor at Macmillan Asia Pacific. Under her pen name, she has written for publications including the South China Morning Post, Fodor’s Travel Guides, and is a regular
contributor for Gizmodo Media’s food site, The Takeout. Her work has been nominated for Best of the Net and received an Honorable Mention from literary journal Glimmertrain. She taught writing courses to adults and kids for 8 years in Hong Kong, including
at top schools like Diocesan Girls’ School, St. Paul’s Co-Ed, Marymount, St. Stephen, and more.
Please note that we do not accept drop-ins due to our small class size. You must register with a deposit of Php800 in order to secure a place for each child. Registrations are first come, first served, and we will close registration when the class is full.

About our instructor: Maloy Luakian taught writing workshops for 10 years to kids and adults in Hong Kong. Her students have won international writing contests including the Queen's Commonwealth Essay competition. She is also a former editor at Macmillan Publishing Asia Pacific and has been writing professionally for over 15 years.
