This Certificate program is designed for students who are seeking basic
understanding of Child Development including the different theories and principles which
are bases of a program’s philosophy. This program also comprises the Developmentally
Appropriate Practice (DAP) in teaching, curriculum development, teachers’ roles, lesson
planning and assessment of students’ learning. The goal of this Certificate Program is to
provide aspiring Early Childhood Educators knowledge in handling and teaching children 2
to 6 years old and to give students the essentials of putting up a daycare center including
the management of such child development centers (CDC) and securing permits from the government.
