This course is designed for the purpose of introducing and exposing students to the basic pronunciation, structure, and vocabulary of the American English language, all taught by American native speakers.

Upon the completion of the course, the students will be expected to understand the differences in pronunciation between their native languages and American English pronunciation. They will also be expected to know and identify the eight parts of speech and apply them in constructing functional simple sentences in both written and oral communication. They will be able to read and comprehend written English material on their reading level. They will also be able to carry on a conversation in English.

This course studies English as it is spoken in the United States. It has two options, depending upon how many hours per day the student wishes to study.

The 4-hour per day option studies grammar, pronunciation, reading and conversation.

The 5-hour option also has writing.

If the student simply wishes to improve conversation skills then the 4-hour program will be sufficient. However, if the student wishes to work or study in an English-speaking country, then writing will be very helpful.

All subjects are taught by American teachers. There will be a maximum of 6 students in a classroom.

Students are charged by the week. Housing is available upon request.
