Course Description:
This is a one-day course that aims to prepare nurses for the course on advanced cardiac life support by developing and enhancing their skills in EKG interpretation and pharmacology, supporting the rhythm and drug management during the pre-arrest and arrest scenarios.
This Course is intended for:
- Physicians
- Nurses
- Paramedics
- Emergency medical technicians
- staff in intensive-care units and emergency or critical care-departments
- other professionals who may respond to cardiovascular emergency
This course covers:
ECG
- Basic arrhythmias
- Basic electrophysiology
- Heart anatomy
- Normal ECG measurements
Pharmacology
- Basic ACLS drugs and usage
- Drugs, doses and routes of administration during cardiovascular emergencies
- Integrating basic drug pharmacology into ACLS algorithms
Students must participate in each module taught to be able to receive a completion certificate.
