Hello amazing creative! My name is Maricar, an Engineer by day and a Lettering Enthusiast at night.
I discovered my love for lettering way back on November 2017 when I felt so stressed about my job and wanted to do something new. I saw a friend from a social media posting her works of Calligraphy and I instantly became interested to try it for myself. But like every beginners, it was also frustrating to me at first: keeping my upstrokes thin and my downstrokes consistent. Being self-taught, I learned things the hard way. I wished I had someone back then to check my works and give helpful feedback on what I was doing.
I know the feeling of being lost - what materials to use, where should I start learning, why can't I make it look like as beautiful as what I see on Instagram.
