Fundamentals of Cyber Security

The positive impacts of digital technologies are undeniable, improving the way we do communication, the way we do financial transactions, and even helping in industries like medicine. But these same technologies are also being abused by cyber criminals making the cyber space a virtual battlefield we step into every time we use technology. This module will discuss how cyber threats evolved with technology up to the present so the attendees can be better informed of the threats we face every day

 II. Types of Cyber Threats

In every Cyber Security training, different types of threats are discussed, but very few highlight its importance. This section presents the types of cyber threats that is understandable and as experienced from everyday work-life, in order for the attendees to learn to identify and block such risks.

 III. Social Engineering

Cyber security is not all about security technologies. Very few people think that humans play a very important role in cyber security.  This module will expose how human’s inherent weaknesses are used by cyber criminals in their malicious campaigns and how we can protect ourselves from being victims.

 IV. Safe Cyber Security Practices

In this module, attendees will have hands-on experience in securing fundamental facets within the cyber world such as social media privacy, mobile apps, reading and sending out emails, and a lot more.
