PADI Recreational Sidemount Course
Who is the recreational sidemount Course for?
The PADI recreational sidemount Course can be taken by anyone holding an open water certificate or higher.
How much will my recreational sidemount training cost, what is included?
The course is 11,000.00 PHP and is fully inclusive of equipment, required materials, dives, marine park fees and certification. You will be trained using the Razor 2 Sidemount configuration.
What will I be learning?
This course covers specialist sidemount equipment assembly and use, propulsion techniques and gas management. It is intended to compliment your existing diver certification level.
You will participate in 4 dives, equipment workshops and knowledge development sessions.
How long does it take?
A typical sidemount Course runs over 2 days, equipment, knowledge development and a confined water dive on day one, followed by 3 open water training dives on day 2.
If you would like to extend the course over your stay this is possible, please discuss scheduling with your instructor or email us in advance.
Where will I be training?
During your course you will have the option to dive on various sites around Moalboal, these may include our house reef, Marine Sanctuary and many more.
What kind of certification will I have?
The PADI Recreational Sidemount Certification. This certification compliments your highest certification rating e.g. Open water divers are certified to use sidemount configuration to 18 meters, advanced to 30 meters.
PADI certifies the largest number of divers in the world year after year and their cards are accepted worldwide. Certifications are valid for life.
What next?
Sidemount provides you with additional gas from the extra tank and increased safety from a redundant breathing system.
This provides an advantage of increased bottom time or more time at depth, within no decompression limits. Enriched Air Nitrox can increase your available no decompression limits and is a perfect combination for sidemount dives.
