Outline
Loss control management refers to the process of identifying and managing risks in an organization in order to minimize the potential for losses. This can include a wide range of activities, such as assessing potential hazards,
implementing safety protocols and procedures, providing training, and monitoring performance. The goal of loss control management is to reduce the likelihood of accidents and incidents that can result in financial losses, such as property damage, injuries,
or legal liabilities.
Loss control management is typically the responsibility of an organization's risk management department, which works closely with other departments and stakeholders to develop and implement loss control strategies. This may involve conducting regular
safety audits and inspections, implementing safety policies and procedures, and providing training to employees on safe work practices. Additionally, loss control management may also include developing emergency response plans and conducting drills to ensure
that employees are prepared to respond to unexpected incidents.
