Who Should Attend
Confined Space Entry Sfety training should be attended by workers who are required to enter or work in confined spaces, such as maintenance personnel, construction workers, and utility workers. Supervisors and managers responsible for overseeing
work in confined spaces should also attend. Additionally, safety personnel and emergency responders who may need to assist in confined space operations should be trained.

Participants will learn how to identify and assess confined spaces and their associated hazards. It covers the proper procedures for safe entry, including the use of permits, atmospheric testing, and ventilation. Additionally, it emphasizes
the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and emergency rescue protocols to ensure worker safety.

Outline
Confined space entry safety refers to the procedures and precautions taken to ensure the safety of individuals who enter and work in confined spaces, such as tanks, silos, vaults, and manholes. Confined spaces can present
a variety of hazards, including toxic gases, lack of oxygen, and the potential for explosions or fires.
To ensure safety, employers must conduct a hazard assessment of the confined space, and must provide employees with proper training and equipment, such as respirators and harnesses.
Additionally, employers must follow specific procedures for confined space entry, such as performing continuous monitoring of the atmosphere within the confined space, maintaining communication with workers inside, and having a rescue plan in place.
Employers also must ensure that proper permits are obtained before the entry and that only authorized personnel are allowed to enter the confined space. Confined space entry safety is regulated by OSH Standards of the Philippines.
