Details

No previous ballet training required. Minimum enrollment of 4 consecutive weeks.

Inclusive of 4 Sessions of Conditioning (Junior Levels) on May 25, June 1, 8, & 15, 2021 (Tuesday) from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

This is the level for complete beginners.

This level aims to establish the position of the body, head, arms, and legs through barre and center exercises. Barre exercises are done with both hands on and the body facing the barre.

Equal focus is placed on building the foundation for jumps as well as practicing coordination and movements.

The longer minimum enrollment commitment ensures that the student is prepared adequately for the higher levels.

The Lisa Macuja School of Ballet is the only classical ballet education institution in the Philippines that has direct ties with the Russia Vaganova Academy in St. Petersburg.

Founded in 1997, the school has always remained steadfast in its adherence to the Russian Vaganova method as the basis of all its instruction.  Over the years, the school has welcomed thousands of students in its studios in Pasay and Quezon City; holding recitals twice a year.

The school is one of the pioneers of the online mode of conducting ballet classes; launching a full line-up of classical and contemporary ballet classes taught fully online in April 2020.

The Vaganova Curriculum

The Lisa Macuja School of Ballet now follows a new and upgraded classical ballet vocabulary syllabus based on the Russian Vaganova method.  The levels, covering beginner to pre-professional, mirror those at the Russian Vaganova Academy and are structured to cover progressively more complex ballet concepts and steps.
