Who Should Attend
The training is designed for individuals who are responsible for monitoring hot work activities, such as welding, cutting, or grinding, where there is a risk of fire. This includes employees designated as fire watchers on
construction sites, industrial facilities, or any other work environments where hot work is performed. Supervisors, safety officers, and any personnel involved in emergency response may also benefit from the training to ensure they understand the fire watcher’s
role in preventing and responding to fire hazards.

registration will expire or lapse if you failed to validate the payment.
Participants will learn to identify and control fire hazards during hot work activities, such as welding or cutting. Participants learn how to properly use fire extinguishing equipment, recognize early signs of fire, and
effectively communicate and initiate emergency procedures if a fire occurs. The training also covers the responsibilities of a fire watcher, including continuous monitoring of the work area during and after hot work, ensuring that all safety protocols are
followed. By the end of the training, attendees will be equipped to prevent fires and respond quickly if one starts, minimizing risks and ensuring safety.

Additionally, the training includes procedures for effective communication with workers and emergency personnel in case of a fire. It covers the protocols for monitoring the work area continuously during and after hot work, including the required
fire watch duration after work completion. Participants also learn about relevant regulations and standards, such as OSHA requirements, to ensure compliance and enhance overall workplace safety.
