Who Should Attend

The training must be attended by all personnel who operate, supervise, or work near suspended gondola systems used for tasks like window cleaning or building maintenance. This includes gondola operators, maintenance workers, and safety supervisors responsible for ensuring safe operation. Additionally, anyone involved in the setup, inspection, or dismantling of gondola systems should also attend to understand the risks and safety protocols associated with working at heights.

How to Register and Secure a Slot

You are required to upload TWO (2) requirements: 2x2 picture in any plain background, and 1 government-issued ID

After registration and payment, please check your email inbox. Read the emailed instructions to validate the payment made. You must validate your payment as soon as you receive the instruction, to secure your slot. Your registration will expire or lapse if you failed to validate the payment.

Participants will learn how to safely operate and maneuver gondola systems, including proper use of safety harnesses and fall protection equipment. The training covers emergency procedures, such as how to respond to equipment malfunctions or evacuate safely in case of an emergency. Additionally, trainees gain knowledge of inspection and maintenance practices to ensure the gondola's safe and efficient operation at heights.

Outline

Gondola is used for heavy applications on facades, chimneys, silos, bridges etc. Platform is intended for temporary applications for lifting people and their working equipment - at unlimited heights.

Gondola safety refers to the measures and procedures that are put in place to protect workers who are using gondolas, which are suspended platforms that are used for maintenance, construction, and other activities. Safety measures for gondolas include regular inspection and maintenance of the equipment, proper training for workers on how to safely use and operate the gondolas, and adherence to safety guidelines and regulations set by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) or other relevant regulatory bodies. It is also important to have a clear communication system in place and to ensure that workers are aware of potential hazards and know how to respond in the event of an emergency.

Additionally, in construction, gondolas are typically used to access high areas, workers must wear Personal Protective Equipment, such as safety harness and hard hat, and be trained in fall protection and emergency evacuation procedures.

Regular checks and inspections, ensuring that the gondola is properly loaded and following the manufacturer's instructions and guidelines, will guarantee the safety of the workers while they work on the gondolas.

The trainers for the Gondola Safety Training are accredited by DOLE and are either Occupational Safety and Health Practitioner (OSHP) or Occupational Safety and Health Consultant (OSHC).
