Outline
Electrical safety refers to the measures and precautions taken to prevent electrical accidents and injuries. This can include things like ensuring that electrical systems and equipment are properly installed and maintained, using ground fault circuit interrupters
(GFCIs) to prevent electrical shocks, and avoiding overloading electrical circuits. It also includes educating individuals about electrical hazards and how to prevent electrical accidents, such as not using electrical equipment near water, not touching electrical
equipment with wet hands, and not plugging too many devices into a single outlet.
Electrical safety is important in both residential and commercial settings, and is often regulated by local and national electrical codes.
