This one-hour class is a fun-social opportunity for both your mind and body fitness. Learn the proper warm up exercises, footwork (advance, retreat, lunge), body conditioning, blade-work and drills (attack, parry, riposte, etc.). You may apply them within
the same day and practice with the other members! All you have to do is book one of our available group training schedules and come in sportswear.
This course is open to everyone from 6 years old and up. We have all the fencing equipment for all three weapons required to begin learning.

Zane Grey Alexander Ragot or Coach Alex’s background reveals his passion for evoking greatness – a constant in his life. Alex began his coaching career in 2006, training nationally and internationally ranked athletes from different
schools including University of the East and Xavier School. Alex also competed in his college years, winning 3 gold, 2 silver, and 6 bronze medals. He also championed in UAAP Fencing Tournament 4 times, won 1st Runner-Up twice, both in UAAP and in Escrima-Liga
Fencing Championship, and an Over-All Champion thrice in Escrima and Inter Club Team Competition.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Physical Education at University of the East in Manila. Alex’s dedication to fencing led him to cofound Republic Fencing and Sports Club, Inc. in 2014.
2. Louis Dior Teves or Asst. Coach Louis, began his fencing career at 15 years old. Enrolled as an athlete of Far Eastern University, he has won medals in UAAP Fencing Team Events and Championed in Fencing Individual Event in 4 years. He is
a former member of the Junior Philippine Fencing Team from 2008 to 2010 and Philippine Fencing Team from 2011-2012. He has also competed in a number of International competitions for experience.
Even after his playing years with FEU UAAP has ended, he continued to compete in fencing competitions held annually here in Manila and in Batangas and won consistently in Sabre events. He then decided to pursue a Coaching career and earned his license last
April 2014, passing the Sabre Coaching Seminar.
3. Michael Nicanor or Coach Michael is a member of the Philippine Fencing Team since 2012. He begun fencing at the age of 13 and won competitions locally and competing in several international competitions. He is a varsity
scholar from University of the East. He just finished his playing year in University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Holding the title of Rookie of the year Season 73, MVP Season 76, Season 78 and leaving the team with a 4 peat Championship.
