MindGym Inc. is a lifelong learning center engaged in intensive coaching for the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), memory improvement, academic tutorials and reviews for entrance tests, basic art and design, Filipino Sign Language (FSL), and customized
corporate workshops.
MindGym was conceived in 2008 by your coaches, Albert and Alice. It was the product of their desire to help teachers who failed in the LET, and as such was designed to provide review and tutorial services for LET takers. It also offered training for memory
and study skills improvement for school children as a proactive alternative to traditional academic tutorials.
MindGym was founded by a powerful team of business, public administration, research, and arts and education professionals, most of whom trace their roots to the education sector.
At MindGym, excellence, responsibility, creativity, friendship, family, and goodness are core values.
MindGym challenges its learners to achieve peak results in the LET board exams, at school, and at work. From late 2009 up to March 2017, MindGym empowered 127 teachers-topnotchers; achieved an 88% to 96% passing rate in the LET (vis-a-vis the 19% to 34%
passing rate nationwide); inspired budding visual artists to launch their one-man and group art exhibits; enabled students to excel beyond their parents’ expectations; and empowered teachers to be the best in their schools and communities.
In 2012, MindGym pioneered an online LET review program, My Review Coach or MRC (at http://www.myreviewcoach.com), to reach out to aspiring teachers in the provinces and overseas. The passing rate of MRC reviewees has averaged from 80% to 85%, with a total
of 32 garnering topnotcher ranks.
Coaches at MindGym design courses that are strategically relevant to the needs of different learners. They are passionate about teaching and sharing their knowledge, experience, and skills in their fields of expertise, in the roads that they have taken,
and in the play grounds where they had fun learning. You can, therefore, expect each course at MindGym to be as unique as the coaches that design it and the group that attends it, to be fun and out-of-the-box, and to be memorable to last one’s learning life
(which is, a lifetime).
MindGym aspires to be an agent of change through the promotion of lifelong learning and greatness in teaching. It has seen its seeds sprouting along this line as former LET reviewees (now licensed professional teachers) come back to coach and inspire new
LET takers, and to gratefully share teacher-stories of how they have touched a student’s life in their own ways a la MindGym.
