MAGIS Creative Spaces is a center for healing and learning through the expressive arts. It offers services and programs to make psychosocial interventions for mental wellbeing as accessible as possible. This is done through both traditional and alternative
therapies, and trauma-informed, therapeutic-practice-based programs. MAGIS advocates for the expressive arts for self-care, mental wellness, and resilience.
MAGIS began in 2013, catering to individual psychosocial needs of children. This was done and is maintained today with creative extra-curricular activities for children, and a developmental therapy department, focused on Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy,
and expressive arts psychotherapy.
Over the succeeding years, the offered clinical services grew its arm for psychotherapy. Currently running under this branch of services are Art Therapy, Music Therapy, and Counseling for all ages. These support not only the children with complementary/alternative
therapies but also their families and the wider local community. The clientele has also grown to cover neighboring cities.
Today, MAGIS’ vision has evolved to focus on bringing the value of the arts to various contexts: schools, workplaces, and underserved communities. The program design process at MAGIS cultivates the integration of the arts into creative psychosocial wellness
interventions, supported by psychological and scientific background. This is applied to everyday contexts and for all ages through purposefully-designed activities for mindfulness, playful and experiential learning, and expression and reflection for self-awareness
and self-regulation.
