All people have a unique combination of talents, knowledge, and skills -- strengths -- that they use in their daily lives to do their work, achieve their goals, and interact with others. Gallup has found that when people understand and apply their strengths, the effect on their lives and work is transformational. People who use their strengths every day are six times more likely to be engaged in their work and three times more likely to say they have an excellent quality of life.

Gallup’s extensive research on people performance with people engagement resulted in four (4) key conclusions that form the pillars of Strength-Based Development:

  1. The study of strengths created a new theory on what people are like and how they develop.
  2. Maximum productivity can be gained by focusing on strengths and managing weaknesses.
  3. Our greatest talents – the ways in which we most naturally think, feel and behave, represent our innate power and potential. When we tap into this source of wisdom and power, we gain the ability to transform every moment, every interaction and every day.
  4. The Clifton StrengthsFinder is a tool that can help us gain awareness of our greatest talents and begin turning them into strengths.

Yet, many people don't know what their strengths are or have the opportunity to use them to their advantage. In fact, many people tend to focus on fixing their weaknesses. By exploring the ways in which you naturally think, feel, and behave, Clifton StrengthsFinder can identify and build on the areas where you have infinite potential to grow and succeed.

Harnessing Your Strengths is a power-packed workshop that not only introduces participants to the philosophy and power behind Strength-Based Development, it more importantly helps participants be aware of their strengths and how to direct their strengths into productive use and complement their team or organization’s goals and objectives.

Alex has had extensive experience in the field of Sales and Marketing, spanning over 20 years and having handled many products in various FMCG and consumer durables companies.  Alex’s career started in the field of brand management as a Product Assistant for Hershey’s/Goya in 1987 and moved his marketing career forward with stints in companies such as CFC/Universal Robina Corporation, the USAID and Cosmos Bottling Corporation.

In 1996, Alex expanded his work experience to include sales by leading several sales teams of various companies such as LG and APO Floors among others to success selling a variety of products and services. 2008 saw Alex’s transition into consulting as a consultant in Sales Management for several consumer durable companies. In 2010, Alex added corporate training in his resume as he got his certification as a certified Zig Ziglar and Insights, UK Trainer.

Alex is also part of the pool of speakers of People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) Industry Group and a regular columnist for The Philippine Star wherein his column entitled “Successtories” appears every Sunday at the Career Guide Section.

As the Chief Catalyst for Catalyst360 Training and Consultancy, Alex finds himself most fulfilled as he leads the team in providing solutions towards organizational health and productivity.

Alex recently became a certified GALLUP Strengths Coach and is one-fourth of the pioneer group of Strengths coaches in the Philippines, StrengthsCoach.PH. He also regularly conducts training workshops on Sales, Leadership, Personal Branding and Customer Engagement as well as programs on building effective teams and personal effectiveness.

Alex has been happily for more than 20 years with Elaine Araneta who is the AVP of Robinsons Land Corporation as well as Corporate Secretary of JG Summit Holdings. They are blessed with two children – Kally and Elian.
