By law, all contracting companies, including general contractors and subcontractors, must have a PCAB Contractor License. The license legitimizes their business operations. PCAB stands for Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board.
Attending an AMO (Authorized Managing Officer) seminar is important for individuals who want to apply for a PCAB (Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board) contractor license. The seminar provides essential information on the legal and regulatory requirements for contractors and their obligations as license holders. Compliance with PCAB contractor license requirements is essential for contractors to operate legally and ensure that their work meets high standards of quality and safety.
The 2-day PCAB Accredited AMO Seminar will be held live online via Zoom. Register immediately as slots are limited on a first-come, first-served basis. After completing the seminar and passing the AMO exam on the second day, you will receive a Certificate of Completion in compliance with PCAB Contractor License requirement.
Who is an AMO? An Authorized Managing Officer (AMO) is a position in businesses that engage in contracting, such as construction. It is open to anyone, regardless of age or nationality.
Who must be the AMO in the company?
For DTI registered business, the AMO is the sole proprietor or proprietress, the person whose name appears on the DTI Certificate. For SEC registered Corporations or Partnerships, the AMO is a person designated either by the Board of Directors or by the stockholders.
To be eligible for the seminar, participants must be at least 25 old. However, those who are 24 years old or younger can still attend the seminar, but they cannot use their AMO Seminar Certificate of Completion until they reach the age of 25.
