Certificate Course in Food and Beverage Services - Waitering

This is a three to six-month program designed for the student who would like to learn the basic of food service, and those who has the intention to work as a professional food server after taking the course. All throughout the course, each student will be taught all the fundamentals of food and beverage services: the different types of chinaware, flatware, glassware, the tools of the bar, banquet and catering, how to set up tables and chairs, how to serve food and beverages.

The program includes a mix of lecture and lab sessions. The students learn the art of table setting and types of table service. Student will also demonstrate the different services such as restaurant, banquet, catering, bar and hotel room services. The skills learned in this course prepares students for careers in the food and beverage service industry as bar tenders, waiters, in restaurants, dance clubs, bars, and hotels as well as the skills to work waiters for special events and parties.
