It is true that Millennials are beginning to fill in leadership roles inside most companies, accompanied by a team of direct reports who are also mostly comprised of Millennials. Seasoned professionals may find it difficult to impart leadership skills
for these group because of generational differences. But there are ways to connect with them such as investing in their skills, giving them power to make decisions, matching up a mentor or provide coaching.
As beginners in the corporate ladder, they may not be as good as a coach, but they sure do know how to coach and motivate co-millennial employees. Mentoring and coaching is a core skill of being a great leader. These young talents want to be challenged
and they will take up the call to empower others become high-performing individuals as well.
After the huge success of the first run of Leadership for Millennials, we're back to teach young leaders and managers classic leadership models of coaching and mentoring. Join us at our two half-day sessions, Leadership for Millennials: Coaching
and Mentoring for High-Performing Teams. The learning event will happen on June 27, 2017, Strength-Based Coaching from 8 AM - 12 NN (AM Session) to
be facilitated by Brian Quebengco, and High-Performance Team Coaching from 1:30 PM - 5:30 PM (PM Session) to be facilitated by Boris Joaquin, at the Oakwood
Premier, Ortigas.
Outline
High performing teams continually push for success and are not satisfied with the status quo. They search for proven approaches and opportunities to continually "push the envelope" to achieve even greater performance, effectiveness and success. According
to a study done by Wageman, Nunes, Burrus and Hackman in 2008, only one out of five teams were high performing. With this rather dismal statistics which could be true also in the Philippines, we propose a proactive use of the coaching approach to build and
sustain high performance.
High Performance Team Coaching (HPTC) is designed for anyone who coaches a team: team leaders coaching their own teams, internal Hr professionals who want to better support their client teams, or professional team coaches who want to implement a clear,
systematic and evidence-based approach to team coaching. The HPTC system was developed so that organizations of all sizes can increase the effectiveness of their teams and team projects.
